Universal masking is not recommended during low community levels. Beginning March 1, masks will now be optional for FCPS students, staff, visitors, and volunteers. Individuals who are COVID cases or are known close contacts should mask during their isolation and quarantine periods. Additional information on isolation and quarantine periods can be found at https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/health/novel-coronavirus/isolate-quarantine
The Fairfax County Health Department (FCHD) is no longer recommending the reporting and investigation of single, sporadic cases of COVID-19 on athletic teams. Potential outbreaks (3 or more cases within 14 days) of COVID-19 on teams are still required to be reported to FCHD, outbreaks can be reported here: https://redcap.link/outbreak.notification. Failure to do so may result in the loss of your permit to use fields in Fairfax County.
