Participant Fees and Refunds
SPRING 2021 SEASON: Currently, the participation fee is not required at time of registration. Once the scope of registrations is known, a participation fee will be established (something south of $155) and payment requested. See the homepage for season plans including special COVID-19 safety provisions.
Participant fees are payable to McLean Youth Volleyball at time of registration. For 2019, the base fees are as follows:
- Spring Girls Leagues (House, Select, Travel) = $155/person
- Fall Boys Leagues = $155/person
Collected fees cover the operating costs of the program. This includes team volleyballs, ball bags, ball carts, team uniforms, gym rentals, referees wages, trophies and awards. A portion of fees are also invested in upgrading local gyms to make them safe and volleyball-friendly.
For the Spring and Fall, there is a $75 discount for each adult volunteer coach. HS students who volunteer as coaches have the option to play in the HS leagues for free.
There is an additional $30 surcharge for non-county residents. MYA is charged that same amount by Fairfax County for each non-resident using Fairfax County Public School facilities.
If a participant withdrawals after registration, a refund may be requested, minus a $25 processing fee, by sending an email to
